NYAPRS is a statewide coalition of people who use and/or provide recovery oriented community based mental health services. NYAPRS values difference and promotes cultural competence in all aspects of their work.
NYAPRS is dedicated to improving services and social conditions for people with psychiatric disabilities or diagnoses, and those with trauma-related conditions by promoting their recovery, rehabilitation and rights so that all people can participate freely in the opportunities of society.
NYAPRS was faced with issues between the web event registrations and the in house registrations. The data from the two sources was not merging correctly and the needs for accurate participant reporting was not being met.
Background
To cretae a single event management system that would manage registrations from the website as well as those entered in the office. The organization has two major events each year in addition to several smaller trainings that all need to be managed with regiatration available through the website and in house entries.
Challenges
To manage the complex registration options of each event. These include multiple regiatration packages, special needs, add on options and single day attendance.
Solution
CiviCRM was chosen for its ability to setup complex price sets and profiles for events. The ability to setup event templates was also a key factor as well as the direct integration with payment processors. The availability of additional features such as membership management and bulk mailing were key for future use.
